Please join us at our 2019 Annual Summit where we have three excellent policy guest speakers lined up:

  • DfE, Sue Clarke, T Level Delivery Division

An introduction to T Levels: The government is working with employers and further education providers to design and develop a brand new technical education option called T Levels.T Levels will be 2 year, college based courses in 25 subjects ranging from digital and construction to accounting. They are aimed at 16-18 year olds and will be the technical equivalent of a 3 A Level course. Each T Level will include a 3 month industry placement. Find out more about the approach to delivery, timetable for implementation and how T Levels will fit in with broader post 16 choices in this session.

  • Ofsted, Rachel Angus, National lead for 16 to 19 study programmes

Rachel Angus is one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors in further education and skills. She is currently Ofsted’s national lead for 16 to 19 study programmes. Rachel will discuss Ofsted’s findings in 16 to 19 study programmes and the inspection of education programmes for young people in the new education inspection framework.

  • Pearson, Steve Besley, Head of Policy

An overview of the latest issues and developments with special reference to 14-19 education and training.
